Introducing the World’s Largest Maxi RIB Tender
As the official dealer for the marketing and sale of Novamarine boats in Greece, PrivatSea is uniquely positioned to witness the evolution of one of Italy’s most innovative marine brands. The latest proof of that lies with the first sale of the Novamarine BS 260 – a groundbreaking 26 metre model that is set to be the world’s largest maxi RIB, due to be delivered in 2028.
For superyacht owners, the BS 260 combines the stability and safety of larger RIBs with the comfort and ease associated with larger yachts. Part of the Black Shiver line, the BS 260 is powered by twin MTU engines with a combined 4,400hp, giving it the power to reach top speeds while maintaining control in all conditions.
“The sale of the first BS 260 marks a milestone in Novamarine’s journey within the pleasure craft sector,” says chairman and CEO of Novamarine, Francesco Pirro. “This contract confirms the market’s and our clients’ confidence in our vision and our ability to innovate within the sector – particularly given that the sale was made before the vessel was even built. We will continue to design unique vessels capable of blending the performance and safety inherent in Novamarine’s DNA with the exclusive luxury and comfort of large yachts.”
Measuring 7 metres in width, the vessel offers a spacious interior, ideal for relaxing, particularly at the stern, which features an open-plan design and sofa seating. Other core components of the RIB include a dining table, panelled glass skylights and step-free access to the water. Below deck, there are four cabins: three for guests and one for crew, ensuring privacy and onboard management.
The Black Shiver series currently comprises six models, ranging from 10-20 metres. Once the BS 260 is available, it will be the largest model in the series.
